My 'other' little project

I get tonnes of crap for driving it, lots of domestic lovers in my town. But they only have to ride in it to silence their criticism. I don't hate domestics, but this works for me!

that means absolutely nothing to me

just sayin. american is the way to go.....

AND technically Honda doesn't make a truck yet, plus i own a chev 3500 diesel longbox crew to make up for the Honda. Ask king el, its gigantic.

I don't really have a problem with Japanese trucks, it's just that they never last long up here where we have hard winters. What good is an engine that lasts forever if the rest of the truck rusts around it in less than a decade?

I have a buddy that bought a brand new '07 Tacoma. During the spring this year he took it to a 4x4 performance dealer to have a lift kit put on it. When they got it up on the lift the floor pans were almost rusted out and it needed new leaf springs. WTF Toyota? The Japanese need to stop using cheap sheet metal.

You NEVER see old Toyotas/Nissan trucks up here. If you find one that 10+ years old without any rust then it was VERY well taken care of and garage kept it's whole life. Plus it was probably never taken off road.

for a true work truck yeah. and if i ever get a boat, ill need a big ol truck to haul it. i always told myself the only american cars id ever own are old muscle, a truck, or a corvette. i do think the current line up of chevy trucks are the best looking trucks right now. i'd still be iffy about buying one though :)

Say what you want about "American Cars" but we make the best trucks hands down. People who use them everyday to haul stuff around on construction sites or farms don't drive little boy trucks that are made in Japan. ;)

you mean people in the US ? ....that's because national pride not quality....everywhere else in the world when it comes to harsh off road conditions you see a toyota cruiser or such ....some of them more than 1/4 century old.
also it's pointless to own a big truck unless you do construction or farming.

vet?? :(

viper!!!

ill give u the japs know how to make it last and smooth, but so do american. lasts for ever. got a 73 dart in my driveway that if i jump the battery it will start instantly, guarenteed. it hasnt ran in 6 months :D

and like VF said, they dont last here.

since we are showing off our japanese trucks, I have a '98 toyota land cruiser with 217,000 miles, that still runs like new. pics tomorrow
