My Pack of Vittatus Tiger Fish.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Sebaes might work, Argys need salt.

Would be an interesting endeavor. Not sure if Sebaes can handle pure fresh long term though.....

I've got 2 Vatf living together now (after having to separate in the past) with a group of 7 Odoe.

Ok thanks, I'll have to look into if they can handle pure fresh.

One week update. The 3 largest tigers are all smashing hikari sticks, the smallest one isn't really a big fan of them so I give him frozen bloodworms. The geos prefer them as well so I don't mind throwing in a cube. The two largest guys still have there battles from time to time but nothing serious. I'm still going to be adding more dithers though so it doesn't continue (hopefully)

if you don't wean the little one off BW he will never eat sticks. It happened to me too. For some reason the little one gets out competed and just decides to not eat. He will forever be the runt and low man.

He sounds perfect for me :p

So I'm thinking about trading the smallest vittatus for 2 acestrorhynchus falcatus, as it seems the other 3 will outgrow him and he will possibly get killed. He also has a hard time getting the hikari sticks because the others take over during feeding time. What are you're thoughts?

ummm the acestrorhynchus will not do well either. From my experience they are very fragile and need peaceful tank mates. The VATF will bully them.

To keep ATF successfully the tank needs to be set up around them. You can't mix other fish that are picky because the ATF have unique requirements and there are very few fish that can cohabitate peacefully.
