he's apart of the family now...its like this.....when my daughter out grows her clothes i buy her new ones....when he out grows his tank...I will get him a new one....and yeah! maybe one day I wont be able to house him....so when that day comes i will call my friend who works at the Georgia aquarium and will take him. until then, were going to enjoy the spectacular view that i have when you walk into my front door.

is it not so with the desire to have a bigger an better tank many are the doubters who pour water on the fire of desire to get a bigger an better tank someday
for example i went on a summer long buying spree of other peoples tanks in the which i acquired what were suppose to be 3 6 inch catfish only to find in a bucket 3 iri shark 10", 11" & 13" all these coming from his 55g and as i posted pics of them people gave me hell for setting up a 55g at my house an putting them in they gave me the very same line about people saying that someday they would get a bigger an better tank and now i have them in this tank
i also rehomed a pacu out of someones 55g and a baby pacu from someones 33g and i caught hell from people for having such monsters in my 180g and when i tried to explain to them what i was doing they hit me with the same old line everyone says someday they will have bigger tanks
to the naysayers all i had to say was this would it have been better for me to leave them in their small homes or is where they are better now
well i say this push for your dream of a bigger tank cause as a business person and chef that is visionary i know that dreams do come true
in the spring i will build my 7500g indoor greenhouse pond which will be the pacus and iri sharks forever home i will also be planting my 500g acrylic sw tank in the same green house and i also found a 300g 10' tank that had never been used from a breeder for a good price
so go onward with your dreams an make your fish a dream home
Ive always backed up my words, and im sorry that some folks have gave you hell about your tank set-up and livestock. as for mine...he will be homed in my 125 stocked with 2 fish,My Pacu and one pleco.(size of fish is one thing for a small tank, but overstocking a small tank is madness) until I get to Ohio and pick up a 300 gallon. I have a 200 gallon, in storage. but it leaks, one of the corners six inches down from the top. I dont trust it. so....until my 125 has cycled then I will throw up some pics.
yeah! I read ur threads! 3 pacus in a hex 45 is insane! not to mention the plecos u have in it. just wait til he gets spooked and rams the glass with their boney head. I freaked out when mine did it. but at least he has (some) room to move! you better turn over every rock you can find and get you a BIGGER tank, like ive done. your catching hell, from everybody cause ur Pacu has no room. their swimmers and fighty. be careful....I wish you alot of luck.
I will keep him in this 125 gallon until late march 09....then he's going into a 300 gallon. I will post some new pics when i get it totally cycled and set up. and the stress of the move settles.
