How thick? I have 1/2 plexi on mine! glass sure is clearer! or I was thinking about acrilic lids for it. wont shatter and as clear as glass!

I take spirilna pellets and damp them into a paste....theY eat it up 24 hrs before I feed them....when bait shops and wal-mart isnt around the corner I have to improvise! you got to be creative. The normal gut load for them is mainly for reptiles.
heard a few words about pacu being vegitarians thought id clear that up there OMNVORIES! to bad i lost mine to some kind of a fish version of a skin eating virus 
Ive bred crickets for about 6 months now....I re-fresh my breeding tank with fresh crickets from the pet shop! so far so good....
Pacus survive the dry season from eating fallen NUTS which they crunch with their tremenous jaw strength. They aren't purely vegitarians, they are opporunistic feeders, luckily theres lots of vegitation in the Amazon.
I have fed him grapres to and peas! only thing i dont like about the peas is the husks sinking to the bottom.
can anybody recommend anything i could wrap around my power cord coming off my powerhead. keep him from chewing through it. somrthing that is aquarium safe!
