I took a break for a while with having fish maybe five to seven years then last year I got me an 80 gallon for my room parents kinda tripped they didn't think I was going that big then I got another 55 then switch the 55 for an 80. Big sis started trippin about electricity. And from then til today with the two 80s I had to set up another 29 for an injured fish and just set up a five gallon tonight for my dads midas frys that's in his 180 gallon. Picked up a 50 gallon today also and its sittin in basement with a 90 gallon, 200 gallon, 55 gallon. Two 29 gallons a bunch of aquarium stuff and equiptment collected in this year. Like this post so much crammed together man I'm fished out for a while.... lol

lol, thats how it goes... I actually wonder what the electrical costs would be for an 80g. I have a few tanks in my condo and have hefty bills in the summer, but I think it might be the fact that im on the 5th floor, with a window a/c... Although the costs have been increasing relative to me getting more tanks... must be the a/c though!! darn it....

My folks don't give in so easily. The response is always," Not in my house." The pains of being 15

dad wont let me get a bigger tank because he is afraid it will break

I think this is a valid concern. Even just a gallon of water on the floor is a mess. The trick here is proper placement, tanks in good repair, "water alarms", teaching other people how to drain a tank in the case of an emergency. My house now is ancient, multi level, with sort of a macabre feel if you check out how everything is put together...I wouldn't trust a large tank on these floors.

Personally, I'm biding my time until I can buy my own house...and a requirement will be a nice basement or solid bonus room, just for my fish :D. I have a couple of 55's right now to play with, and I've grown out a few larger fish for work :).

I'm 22 and living with folks, not allowed a tank here either, which is strange considering my dad bought the 75 gal for me when I was 16.

So now I have my own 2" Peacock Bass growing out at my mates place, in my aquarium just so I can ward off the fish withdrawals :s

It blows so hard!! I might have to sneak a 150 in here soon though.....
