does your duck live inside or outside? if it does live inside is it potty trained?

She stays outside during the day in an area enclosed by plastic fencing.
She'll crawl into her little dog carrier by sunset and all I have to do is lock the door and place the carrier in the patio. And no, it is physically impossible to potty train a duck. Birds have no bladders, so pee and poop is combined. And they lack the muscle to "Hold it in" like cats and dogs. So when it's time to go, there's no stoping them.

Why all the questions? You planning on getting a duck? :D

you got that right ;). im planning on raising a duckling after i build my pond in my back yard starting in spring. im planning on getting a mallard duck. where i live there is a place called farmers feed and they sell mallard ducklings for $7. i know i cant have one have one because i live in the suburbs but its w/e ill do what i want. :D

You should be fine dude. I live in a neighborhood and Sunny rarely makes too much noise. The occasional Quack Quack is all. Keep in mind mallards can fly pretty well, so you would have to clip their wings often. They aren't the largest breed either, what do you want in a duck? I can reccomend a breed for you. ;) Oh and also, if you get only one duck. Be very sure you have plenty of time to spend with it. Ducks believe it or not can suffer emotionally and are flock animals by nature. So if unless you can spend more than an hour a day with it, then get two. I'm homeschooled, so time isn't too much of a problem for me.
