my plywood tank build

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
by the time its rotted out....you would have gotten rid of the thing anyway.....

If it was really a problem, people would not make plywood tanks.

if the drylok DOESN'T hold the water in we'll have a much larger problem than if it does...so I'm shooting it golding it in personally.....

If it makes you feel better, my 600 gallon with drylok on hardi is still watertight after a year. As long as everything was done right you should be ok. Your seems do make me nervous though. I would use more strips of hardi to go over the seems like TFG, and use lots of sillicone.

well I was planning on doing just that, with the hardi board over the seams, and we have 2 cases of silicone I think, however, if at all possible, I'm going to sell this before I have the time to get it done now...I'm still going to be working on it as much as I can, but I REALLY need some extra money right now, so if I can sell it, I will....

selling it before you even get it built? lol w/e works i suppose

I've got to pay the bills somehow, or there won't be a house to build it in :irked:

hopefully that isn't what has to happen, out of everything I'm selling I want to get rid of my fish the least, but if they'll sell, I guess I have to...

you should always offer to set it up in a gas station for free as an attraction, then live in the dark cold alley next to it....i heard newspaper makes a pretty good blanket.

lol you just do what you need to do to support your family!

nothing better then building a tank selling it to someone else and then make a better one for yourself with the knowledge you gained from the first one. just pray the first one holds up.i built a 300 gal plywood epoxyfiberglass 10 years ago and it still holds water.
