Im not too sure if i remember correctly Vancouver_98683 Vancouver_98683 thought it could have been an injury being that it was wc but i dont remember. I have to get some better pics of his face. It really is funny looking
I remember you had mentioned this when you got him. Do you think it was genetic or maybe extreme injury or trama at some point early on?

The faranah and congi always hang out. Really enjoying the dynamic of this tank now. Even the ornate has become a model citizen.

Thats a vieja heterospilus. Not sure if it was reclassified. Yes it can. Great mild mannered but super slow growing fish.

Another to look at are aquidens. I had a beautiful a. Metae man i want one again. Check out aquidens complex lots of cool mid size growing fish.

Ive gotten fish from them before. Great vendor who is well known.

I wouldnt call heterospilus rare but they definitely can be hard to come by.

What cichlid is the last pic? Can they be in a 60g tall tank?

With the het most times they stay within the standard size of about 9" max but a friend of mine did have a female that was a foot easily.
J jaws7777 has a female het, the one I have is a male.

Since dan at the link i posted has them and last i remembered he had a min order requirement you could get a bunch and try for a pair. Most people order more than one cichlid when they are at those sizes being that they are so cheap. That way they can either try for a pair or just grow them out a bit and keep the best looking.

I started with 4 or 5 hets and chose this one. Did the same with argentea and zonatus.

I say try it Polyaddict86 Polyaddict86
