Wow. Those are some amazing fish. I can't even imagine a loach at 36". Do they still have the suborbital spines? That would be KILLER!

To answer all of your questions: to me, they're just incredible, its the story that goes behind it, and how they'll look as they grow, their colors will change and patterns too.

at the local village there they're being raised, they can tolerate as cold as 40 degrees, up to 84 degrees max, most comfortable in mid 70s. they're eating blood worms right now after being in the bag for more than 48 hours.

they have suborbital spines, but very small, and rarely comes out,not like clowns and modestus loaches.

like zebra plecos, they were available once upon a time, but only imported on several occasions in the past decade, and none since. and now they're almost gone from the wild, since the building of hydroelectric damsn up and down the river. they migrate to spawn and cannot cross the fish ladders like other migratory fish.

the babies are $250.00 each, the larger ones are more.
Wow. That is super duper reasonable! I thought due to the rarity of it , it would be 10x that price! Great deal! Amazing fish. This is my first time ever seeing or hearing about them. Can't wait to learn about them and see them in fellow MFKers tanks! Every one give it up for Wes!

That is a nice looking fish. 250 is certainly less than I was expecting.

that's what I'm saying, I'm not out to rape people. and certainly this fish is rare than a zebra pleco, asian aro., or most fish you could think of off the top of your head.

I want to thank my friend Stan for taking these photos and going on this expedition with me, it was the most difficult export I've ever attempted, seriously. and these are pictures taken from his tank last night, of the actual fish we have.

Just to let you know the fish you have may be featured in the up coming TFH article, as there will be several articles coming up and one should be about these amazing animals.

Totally Impressive!!!!

Sorry, I'm not a loach guy.....not these right....referred to as the "Holy Grail" of Loaches

http://www.loaches.com/species-index/botia-unknown01

no, that's not the same. those are from Burma, and have been imported already on many occasions, and don't grow nearly as large. you can google leptobotia elongata, and you'll only find some stock photos, non recent, and several mislabeled. as people were selling L. pelligrini as elongata.
