My rays are all dying :(

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Sorry to hear.

Sounds to me like one of the parameters went way out of wack or very easily some type of contaminate was introduced into the setup.

Just a quick update. Thankfully, it looks like my fourth (and most valuable) ray will survive-- he's eating and acting normally.

I have also been able to make an appointment with a local veterinary research lab to have the dead rays tested for bacteria and viruses, so hopefully we can all learn something about this. I will keep everyone updated on the results. I hope everyone is having a safe and happy holiday season.

Awesome to hear the last one is doing well! It is great to see you are trying to learn from this whole experience rather then just giving up! I look forward to see if the vets find anything out about what happened to them as well. Thankyou for the update and I hope you're having a safe holiday as well!

Thx for the update, most people don't care enough to update.

I've just been blown away by the number of people who have taken the time to respond by offering their condolences and suggestions. To have someone I've never met offer to take in my stock really restores some of my faith in humanity. You guys are more than deserving of an update!

I recently went to the same thing. I had six rays, 4 died just random. I had kept on tank maintenance weekly of bi weekly and all of a sudden my rays stop eating. They started dying one by one. I took them out, placed the remaining 2 rays in another tank. They are still alive but not eating at all or moving around like they use to. I am not sure what will happen from here
