I just fed the corals using phytofeast. That was before these pictures were taken.

No your hammer isn't splitting, t looks like the skeleton got cracked. I have never had this happen so maybe someone with more experience can help.

I'll agree with that. The skeleton is cracked. Did it fall? If it was splitting the head would get bigger and slowly split into two separate heads. Like this. There are 4 heads on mine in the picture.
