My red texas project has begun!

He probably does have Escondido blood in him but I bought him at a local swap and I trust his previous owner that he is an unfaded RT. In person he does have a slight red base underneath his pearls.

That's sweet. Not sure where your from or if you will be willing to ship, but if you are selling let me know. I may be interested in buying. I also wanted to let you know that my Escondido also has lots of red tones too. Maybe mine has some red Texas in it too.

Once they're big enough ill most likely look into shipping. Do you have any links to the pics of your Escondido? I'd normally ask you to just post pics here but I prefer to keep this thread non cluttered.

Well if everything goes good for both of us, there will be a TON of calico cons out there.

I can't wait to see how they look as they grow up. Hopefully I can get a few myself.

Yeah definitely I'm trying to breed mine though . I wish I could just find a few to pair up.

What the hell I check in on your thread expecting to see fully faded pearly bright red texas cichlids and nothing yet? It's not that I'm mad just disappointed. J/k nice progress man can't wait to see what the lil guys turn out like.
 
If I had to take make a guestimate, Id say there were about 75-100 of them.

I cannot wait to see how these guys grow out, although I dont think Ill get many faders from this batch. Dont worry Ill keep this updated as much as I can.
