My Red Texas project

No condescending attitude intended. Just seemed odd you keep making random f1s with that pair instead of focusing your efforts toward something better. What is your back up for f2 in case your f1 male is sterile (always)? What was your reason for using the small pearl texas instead of a larger pearl carpintis?

What is the huge focus on F2, if F1 is giving me huge variances within a single spawn? I enjoy breeding my pair and will continue to appreciate the diverse offspring they provide

The huge variety in the spawns is generally unwanted when trying to breed for a specific hybrid. Figured if it was an rt project you would like to try and attempt to create some rt, not sparsely pearled and lightly colored unattractive faders. But everyone is free to do as they please. But if you are not trying to refine your hybrids into rt then maybe call it something else.

Great advice! (duh) don't appreciate the condescending attitude

Introducing Phase 2:
F1 male (forehead non-fader)
F1 female (fader loaded with eggs)

It really is time saving advice for better results. And while you are producing bicycles and saying "woah look at what I did", there will be someone to tell you "dude you can easily produce motorcycles stop wasting your time if you want real speed!"

My advice is to bring in an actual red fish (easier said than done). Cross breed that with your most big pearled offspring ie. That is in picture #2

This is what they've produced for me. Enjoy!

I agree whole heartedly especially mentioning the larger pearls.
Yet, I understand why he's holding the pair. He's emotionally attached to them after all this time he's had them. But those same emotions may hold him back from achieving what he envisioned when he put this pair together.

Amateur hour question here ---What red fish would we be talking about to achieve the red color?

Wow! Sounds like aggression thinks he knows something everyone else doesn't. You have a red texas project going these days know it all?
