If you have any doubts about a senegal bichir regarding size then you could always do a shortbody one. Albino short body senegal bichirs are easy enough to find. Expect to spend $40-$75 for one though. Exoticfishshop.com has them in currently I think.

I recently had to move my retropinnis and delhezi bichir and got a few pictures while I was moving them and thought I’d share them.

It appears to be a Gold Dust (Beutikofferi). Here’s mine as a reference. Retros tends to be less stubby than GD. Retro usually has XXXX type markings, and head is flatter and longer.

Agreed, I think it’s a gold dust, which tbh I feel are a little less common? So many places mis-identify the upper jaw species, my polli was sold as a retro, my moke was sold as a retro, and my palmas was sold as an ornate lmao

The eyes give it away as not being a retropinnis. The colored area of the eyes are too clear with no lines. Here's my retropinnis, notice the lines from the dark pupil:

Well that’s a shame, the only reason I got him was because he was suppose to be a retropinis haha. Not too much of a let down as I was going to get a gold dust eventually.

It look like a goldust, take a closer pic of the eyes, usually a retro is really green color. As for the tank size i think yours will be fine, idk how fast a golddust grows but my old one took awhile, sen are also a good choice.

I’m not sure if you’re serious or poking at me -_-
I’m on probation because I was bad and am basically on parole, if I get into another fight then I’m banned, again. This time it will probably be permanently.
To be honest my time away from from the site helped me clear my mind and clear the fog from my eyes, it took away my rose colored glasses if you will. I’m no longer going to be an idiot by fighting with someone over something that I know nothing about while they do.

I actually have an apology letter that I’m going to put in the lounge once I’m officially not on probation.
