My Room Smells like a Urinal

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My tank smells a bit like poo at times, but never pee. Perhaps the smell isn't coming from the tank? Do you have any pets? (other then fish)

Give your couch and carpet a smell, mabey even your furnaces vents.

Just trying to cover every angle here. :chillpill:

agreed, any other pets? i spilled some water on the floor doing a water change once and i guess my cat thought that meant she had to pee by my tank.

Get new carbon check your ammonia and clean out your filters
my ammonia was slightly elevated and it stank like piss the ammonia wasn't at a dangerous level it just smelled ammocarbon didn't work for the smell either I don't know why it happened

nature's miracle works wonders in cleaning up bad odors left on objects in the room. plus, opening the windows up even if its cold out and ventilating always helps. i live in buffalo and i do so every so often to change the air, so to speak.

like previous post, clean/rinse out your filter.
If you do not want to spend money to buy carbon to absorb the odor, then open your window or door every so often to get rid of the stale air.

Get a room deodorizer to freshing up the room. You probably do not smell anything because you are use to the smell.

Or your friend did something and did not wash his hand and then touch his nose, thereby smelling the foul oder!:naughty::D
