My saltwater journey

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo

They've wiped out half of the diatoms already and when they clean it all up I'll post more pics. It's still a mess in there.

Only one?
Should get a pair, they are mouth brooder and freaking awesome when they spawn in your tank :) But in order for them to stay happy you would have to remove your killer clown fish hehehe

If I had a bigger tank I would for sure get more. They're are really neat fish. I got rid of the killer clowns and got regular oscellaris from ORA. It's a happy tank now!

I just now noticed you bought 10 snails and 15 crabs, that's a lot :) I wouldn't buy more snails cause after they clean up diatoms that what they gonna eat? they gonna die out when your tank mature, and your crabs will eat each other when someone molting, keep a bottle of iodine and dose weekly or biweekly your crabs will molt more often and grow or simple help them get their molting phase faster and safer :)

I'll hold off for a while then. Wouldn't want to starve them!

I was out looking for a giant hermit crab species to be my clean up crew and I saw a triggerfish that I have not seen in many years, it's Golden Heart Trigger (Balistes forcipatus), damn kool looking trigger but the price tag is $299.99 :p around 4 inches. I do want to do a comm triggers tank but I already know that only work when they are all young, at some points someone will be turn psycho and kill everyone else, for that reason I just say goodbye to that rare trigger lol.

I love trigger fish. I'd love to have a FOWLR tank one day.

I'd love to have a reef tank one day LOL
Corals look awesome but somehow I lose interest in them really fast, I love fish more than corals :)

I have a custom 10 gallon unused seriously thinking about creating a Nano Reef out of it.
I'm thinking to get a Fluval Edge and setup for a couple fire shrimps and a pair of clown fish (captive selective breed clown fish), LOL But the big aggressive monster fish feeling holding me back :P
