My snakeheads emperor and chevron

Thats just how mine looked when I got them.
This kind are hard to get here in Japan. They have many of the more brownish juveniles like I had before, but the 3 I got look just like that!
Any idea on source location of these? My fish supplyer had no idea when he sold me mine.

I heard from Peter from AP that a German guy breeds them and few of them came out like this the rest are just golden yellow. Parents were actually just regular emperors. Then they were selected for another breeding again but all Blue variants and some got sold to Japan.

Hey El, let me know about thatgroup order I have a couple snakeheads I'm looking for, as for the blue's I have a source that had them available about a month ago, I should seeif I can be them again, they were listed as "eletric blue emperors"now I know why after seeing those juvie pics!

Now I so hope mine are the same!

Here is a pic of one of them. Now at about 5".

I really hope it is the same as yours. It has a very blue tint to it in person (especially the bottom half) and has 6 bands for sure, looks like it could be 7!
(the other two look the same as this one but one has 6 bands, one has 5.

I notice with blue emperors doesn't really develop a lot of flower patterns. Mine started developing flower patterns at 15" but my other yellow orange emperor started at 10" and it got lots of them too. Once that yellow orange emperors grow to 20" I'll post pics and video of them together side by side for comparison.

Nice emperor! Mine did look like that too. How big is yours.
