Thanks, i think they must be Cory eggs, still seems a strange place to lay them.
They often lay on glass,normally a lot lower down though. I can't think of anything else you have that it could be though.

Just about to order the apistogrammas then got side tracked and ordered some Hypselecara temporalis, Oyapock instead. I think the tetras will have to come out eventually.

Nice. I love chocolate cichlids. I've kept them with tetras before and I think the chocolates were either too slow or too lazy to catch them. They were very greedy though, used to spend most their time hovering by the feeding hole.
Not saying they are all the same though but may be worth giving the tetras a chance if you want to keep them. Could go either way.
