I just did this to my 20 gallon (you inspired me), looks good, took about an hour of careful tugging with a flathead and some slicing with a razor, just sliced the silicone and cracked off the trim, cut my finger once. Im contemplating removing the bottom now, but the tops the cool part.

i would do a clown pair with anemone
you dont need a protien skimmer just carbon will do or purigen would prob be better.
