"my water company is thames water.

it said

'Our drinking water contains low levels of chlorine which ensures the water is safe to drink, and serves to protect public health' "

wow experienced fish keeper man i am all for trying to help you but seriously don't tell someone that you have been keeping fish since you were 3 and not know something like this .... i don't mean to be an ass... but either start researching what you need to do to keep fish or find them a good home.... i just hope it's not to late for your fish cuz you have no idea what to do for them... i'm actually amazed they have made it this far....

dude i am out now..... i want to say 'thank you very much for your advices. i have been fish keeping since 3 year olds (community tanks only). i grew up so i used to have pacus, silver aros, tsn, giant gourami, rtc in 7ft tank. in that time i was given up my fish keeping. i gave all these fishes and 7ft to my cousin.

in 2009, my cousin bought a 9ft fishtank so he put all these fishes in 9ft tank.


in jan 2011, i came back to my fish hobby. i have started to keep rtc in 3 ft fishtank then i bought tigrinus then i bought arowana.

for now i have mess up now cos i am so shame now.... i think i am going to take care with my tigrinus, rtc and arowana. hopeful my tig will be survive soon

Look I'm sorry if I upset you but you are not doing things the right way

As adding tap water conditioner Is a normal thing to do when keeping any fish

You have done so much messing around and taking advice from so many different people it's not funny

If you have been keeping fish as long as you say you should have been using tap water conditioner and had a test kit of some kind no matter what country you come from they are just things you should know and have

Please don't kill the tig I know you must have paid a fair bit of money for it and it would be a shame to lose it

My advice would be to take the tig back to the aquatic store you got it from as ask them to take care of it as you are having some tank problems
This will give you some time to get you tank water all right for the tig before bring it back home

The aquatic shop you got the tig from should be willing to help as look like you have spent a good amount of money with them

Or you could just buy tap water conditioner and add it to your tank the reason your tank looks a little bit cloudy is because you are adding tap water that has bad stuff in it that's killing all the good bacteria in your filter if it had any in it to start with

I can go on and on about how to set up a tank and prepare the water but this is not the time or place for that and it's stuff you should have know/resurched before before buying a tig

People on this forum are willing to help if you go about things the right way you should have started in the sut up and filtration section 1st this would have helped you get the tank off to a good start then do some research on tigs and find out there needs then get the fish when you are sure you know what you are doing

You may have been keeping fish from the age of 3 but that doesn't mean you have been keeping them right for that time

I hope you do get things sorted and fast as I truthfully can't see the tig lasting long the way things are going

little harsh tho guys dont u think? yellin at him like that is just making the situation worse. Yeah obviously he shouldve known about conditioner when keeping experience level fish but damn lol my self-esteem would drop isntantly in his situation from you guys.

i saw it just now tho. my tig got white spots all over his body. cos of stupid arowanas

why did you get involve with us? only the problem is that i don't know about tig feeding problem....

i made my mistake too cos i should keep only tig in my tank not rtc and aro. i can't throw them away. guys, you are so against me that you told me to rid of rtc. its not fair for rtc.

finally i put white spots treatment now. i got to wait for two days then water changes then put another dose for 2 days then water changes. its should be done by weekend

if my tig ok then i will be pleased with myself and guys who help me on mfk. thank you

If I was teasing or cussing u , you would know about it.

If I am so dumb, then explain how my
Tig has grown from 7 inch to 8.5 inch in 10 weeks?

And to think, I could have sold u some tigers after u pm'd , thank god I did not.

Notwithstanding that, I do hope u turn things around with fish and tank.
