My Trimac, real / fake ?

a new pic of the Trimac, finally starting to show some color after i removed a Buttikoferi yesterday, now nobody is harrasing him, he had been dull brown as seen on page one:

he is looking really nice. i'd say it's a true 3 spot (trimaculatus).

i bought this as a trimac but was told later on it was a low grade flowerhorn! personally it didn't faze me, but i can see how people could get away with selling them as trimacs.



i'm sure with the butti out he will start showing his true colours soon

Here is my flowerhorn. While yours looks a lot like mine, look at the pattern going horizontal on the side, mines is more like a line and yours like several individual spots. I would say yours is definetly a Trimac. The reason why flowerhorns are confused with Trimacs is because the Trimac is the main fish used to create the flowerhorn.

I heard about the "trimachorn" so can this fish be fake trimac?

Your fish looks like a trimac.
