Well it's pretty cool that dad is incubating the eggs in his mouth. I guess we'll see if they hatch..

The eggs hatched a few days ago and tonight they showed me a glimpse of the babies =-)

Amazing that your orangeheads were successful on the first try in such a busy tank. Mine always lose their wigglers a few days in. Usually dig a pit and drop them then they get carried away by the filter current. I'm going to put them in a tank with only a sponge filter and let them have at it.

You must keep very clean water in there to get all this great coloration, trailer growth, and breeding all with that many fish in there.

Your altifrons is beautiful. How big is she? And how big is her male partner? I'm guessing she's over 6" from how nicely colored up she is, so he must be massive. I never realized how big he is.
