My visit to the Shedd - 56K Load

They had 6 foot catfish and about a 15 foot gigas.

Next was Cincinnati Zoo, They had 5-6 foot Pacus in there.

While not completely impossible, without picture i am going to assume these are extreme exaggerations. I have never heard of pacu or gigas that big, at least not in captivity.

While true I did not tape measure them and they ARE estimates. I don't exaggerate (note: I used the words about and gave a 12 inch range). I do include the tail when I give measurements if that helps.

I still find it funny just because someone hasn't seen a fish a certain size they find it nearly impossible to believe.

I remember when I wanted to bring in my 23 inch Niger cat... my LFS ok'ed it but when I got the cat there she freaked out and said it was too big. I told her that I told her it was 23 inches. She said she thought I exaggerated on the size.

Too late to edit. I found this pic for the Pacu. With luck... my arm does refect in the glass. I marked it from elbow to wrist which on me tape measures 12 inches(I'm 6 foot 1 1/2 inches tall). Even with the Pacu turning away, you can see the huge size. Even the tail from top to bottom appears to be twice the size of my arm.

Note That is NOT the gigas above me( I didn't take any pictures at that zoo).
