I'm kind of curious to hear from the people that checked, "I have one and wish I didn't waste my time"

What was the issue with them?

Just re-scaped my 3g Picotope, so good time for pics :D My only gripe with nano tanks is that maintenance can be a little hard because they're so tiny. It's hard to get in there and work with things. And I hardly even do water changes because the water evaporates so fast and I'm always topping off.

This tank has a Zoo Med 501 canister filter and a 27w 6500k PC desk lamp.

Heres my "nano" tanks by mfk standards lol
The first one is my cichlid growout tank, a 20L about 12 yellow labs in there now. Theyre all about a quarter inch

The second is my betta tank. Planted with ecocomplete, no co2.
He might be the meanest betta ever as he will not tolerate anything else in his tank. its a 3 gallon jbj picotope

The 3rd is my kribensis tank, with 10 zebra danios, and 1 cory. The krib pair has already spawned and there are about 25 babies now too. Its a 25 gallon

The last is my 25 gallon planted, diy co2 64w of light. a bunch of random fish in there but my favorite are my celestial pearl danios and my peacock gudgeons. The peacocks are a great nano fish

Sorry for the crappy pics! jcardona puts my iphone to shame lol
And yes i love my nano tanks

Love my 10g planted...keeps me busy when I just want something to do.

Always tinkering to get every tiny little detail perfect.

Been itching to get my 10g planted but still doing the research so I can do it right, with perfect soil, lighting, ferts and all.

If I were a fish, I'd want to be your betta in that tank.

I might go nano when I go to college in about a year just b/c of space, but I don't think these kits are worth the prices. Maybe they're a lot easier to decorate and perfect since they're smaller but I'd rather go for larger tanks nonetheless

I don't like the fad, for all of those who love it, I ask you would you like to live in a broom closet your whole life?

For marine tanks? They're much less stable chemistry-wise plus the fish are aggressive, which leads to issues adding new ones.

I don't think anyone is putting any Monster Fish in this;) I think people are keep small fish like Guppies or Clown Fish. And usually Nanos are low stock.
