• We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I love those big cats tho, would love to have a redtailed cat but doubt i could afford to feed the thing, nonetheless house it. Just like I will always love stingrays, but know well that unless i save up my money for a long time, i cant afford to buy cases of shrimp to feed them twice a day.... still love fishkeeping but right now its just not practical with me moving around alot, id hate to have to return them to the fish store stock just to move.

Good to see that you got back up after getting knocked down. No one can be there to help you all the time, gotta get what you need while you still can. Those who help themselves need no help lol.

Alot has changed since the last time we all talked on MFK, never though id be where i am either, but doing good.

Blah 3 hours to upload lol. Sorry hard to hold a cam steady leaning over a pond with your hand in the water lol.

It's just like any other pet I have found. Once you realize it's not just a fish you have, and have had it several years you go all out to make sure it's fed. I use to spray water on my lawn and catch night crawlers as they emerged trying not to drown. I laid down a piece of carpet just for this. Would move it and spray the area and watch the worms come out. lol. I use to get about 1 lb a day during the summer. Really helped cut down on feed costs. Sometimes if money was really short I would do the unthinkable and feed cheap hot dogs. :( They were always fed though no matter what. At my peak I was feeding roughly 5 lbs of worms a week, 5 lbs of fish fillet, and 10 lbs of shrimp. lol.

Things seem so much slower on MFK than they use to be a few years back lol. Anyway here is another vid of me feeding the sperata. He doesn't eat much til about 2/3 through the vid. :)

Ok so this is probably a much better vid of the sperata eating lol. He really gobbles the pellets down. I'd say he is more than acclimated to the 100 now. :) My hopes are to get this fish into the 400 gal very soon. I may have come up with an answer to that as well. Stay tuned for more and if you love the vids (even though some are pretty crappy lol) please subscribe to my youtube channel and share the vids you love the most! I will also be making a vid to feature the newest filtration elements I am incorporating on this tank..... and yes I know I need to get some lighting on the tanks lol. I don't worry about it usually because they are catfish and don't really like the light anyway. :)

WOAH! i love that u pellet trained him! takes a lot of time and effort usually... makes it so much easier to feed him a balanced diet with pellets.... although now my RTC/TSN hybrids ONLY EAT PELLETS and not dead fish or dory fillets.... really weird huh? big catfish that dont eat meat? thats probably why they cant grow as large as my meat eating RTCs....

Lol this guy was so hungry and skinny when i got him. He was previously fed rosies but i just give my fish mainly pellets, shrimp, and algae wafers along with wild caught worms. Not even 5 mins after it came in the mail it ate pellets til it had a round belly. Lol. I'd live to see one of these in your tank. Grows fairly fast and extremely large like rtc. I would think easy to find in your home country also. So far not aggressive at all. Btw i have plans for a 2-3k pond that i will be starting very soon! :)
