Yup, nothing but a bunch of ASSumptions.
Matt, you remember not long ago my rays dying off, cause you were one of the D bags that had plenty to say about it didn't you?
I do have a pretty sweet med cabinet. Always have. Hell I even stock enough to help out other hobbyists. Just ask Scott (Skynoch) about overnighting him big bottles of Binox for his sick rays when he couldn't get any. I'll even include a current pic for you in case I might have anything you need. I believe in the old saying an ounce (or in this case kilo lol) of prevention is worth a pound of cure. BUT, guess what? I've never treated anything here since the quinine sulfate experience you were referring to 2 YEARS ago. Right before the 750 went up and moving bed filters were built. Guess what kind of trouble I've had since? Stress from breeding attempts. I've lost females that were preggo and a few pups since the quinine incident where I lost a pair of juvie rays (one was the last male I've lost here). Just cause I'm prepared in case I need meds sure as hell doesn't mean I use them.
I take that back, I did do a prazi treatment on the 750 at one point, found the reactors hated it, but then felt better about adding the Falks to it.
Doesn't seem you have any good uncommonly known info to offer. We all know pups don't like drips, my pup tank doesn't have one, and I've already spilled the beans about "adding meds to my water all the time"
I appreciate you acknowledging killing your rays with meds, however I would never throw that back at you in a negative way. I have more respect for ANY fellow ray keeper then that. When I added quinine it was under the advisement of someone knowing much more then I do about rays. Maybe IF I actually had a fat enough head to think I know everything about rays and meds I wouldn't have done it, but that's not the kind of person I am.
I've been heckled over giving rays Prazi orally before via injecting nightcrawlers, I've treated this way for probably 4 years or so, but it seems wether you medicate, don't medicate, drip, or no drip, moving bed, pot scrubbies, rings, it really doesn't matter, what works for one won't work for others, and in fact many things will work in many ways, but here it just seems like a big case of opinion, arrogant people that enjoy arguing about being right, rather then discussing to learn.
Kind of funny that my bad luck really only seems to surround Marbles though doesn't it?
I really do appreciate all the ironic insight about meds though, just hit me up if you'd like to buy some of mine. Sounds like you might use them before I do.
I appreciate the motivational pep talk! Maybe everything will go smoothly from now on.......
