PVC - Charlotte foundry co.
Lowes, SKU 6-11942-03562-5 for the 2" wye & 1/8 bend I just got for my lil' guy.

not sure if it comes in black, but I've always gotten it in white, makes seeing when it needs cleaning easy. ect, ect..

scaleless fish + lava rock = Bad news bears. But Lava rock does have it's uses as you've pointed out ;)

Hopefully the company/sku helps you!

I have a 2' section of PVC that I silicones lava rocks to. It is aesthetic as well as beneficial for filtration creating lots of area for bacterial growth. It stays at the bottom with no problems. I did leave one strip without the rocks so that it sits flat on my substrate. Lava rocks can be found at just about any retailer that sells charcoal. I'm sure this would work no matter the length/ diameter of PVC.

Justin

Lava rocks will be a no go as well...I will not risk injury to my eel...Plus it would look hideous with my substrate....
I might just have to consider this slate Idea...

You could also try electrical supply houses, though electrical PVC is gray.

I don't know for sure if it sinks though, never tried it. I would assume that it would sink, then again I would assume all of it sinks which does not seem to be the case. I will see if I can bring something home for work tomorrow and test it out.

That would be great if you could give me a report/update on this....

Greatly appreciated

Sorry =/ they sell it up to 6" at the lowes here by me. maybe talk to the plumbing department manager? to have them order it in for you on a shipment may take awhile. but they shouldn't charge you anything to get it w/ their reg deliverys?
