Sorry =/ they sell it up to 6" at the lowes here by me. maybe talk to the plumbing department manager? to have them order it in for you on a shipment may take awhile. but they shouldn't charge you anything to get it w/ their reg deliverys?

In my world up here...we are charged for everything....especially if something gets shipped from the lower 48....

Like I stated though-I have a local plumbing supply place that has what I need....They will cut to length I want.I just need to know for sure once again if it's ABS or PVC that sinks though...

It does seem that the majority thinks it's PVC..But like I also said before-I just dont want to waste my money on something I can not use.

I may just end up digging out what I currently have..Although it will be a major production just to due so.....And just go with the opposite of what I do have.....

Next step will be to just pay the ungodly fee that I will be charged to have a glass tube blown locally I guess

PVC sinks.. ABS floats as far as I know. I know 100% PVC sinks. and if your still leary.. ask your local plumbing supply place for the maker of the PVC they get and call them up and ask... and I don't blame you for not wanting to spend money on something that won't be useable. which is why I listed the lowes sku.. and the company that makes the pipes I personally use and know 100% sink. no clue how your places work, as for ordering ect.. hence the suggestion. though if you do go w/ the glass tube would love to see pics of this.. sounds very interesting.

That would be great if you could give me a report/update on this....

Greatly appreciated

Put a piece of trade size 2" pvc conduit(pipe) into the fish tank, it sank rather quickly. No buoyancy whatsoever

Thanks for the info...
I did manage to check my tube that I currently have-It is Black ABS...So it seems I need PVC....

I had the same problem when I bought my first pvc pipe for my tire track, i got home and was surprised that it floated. I ended up buying the kind that would sink, and my tire track ended up loving the one that would float, he preferred it over the one that stayed at the bottom. I was going to try that rolling it in gravel idea more for the fact that the pvc pipe was white and to me was an eye sore. Eventually I would love to do one of the 3-d backrounds and incorporate the pvc pipe with elbows into it

you can order pvc pipe on amazon.com, there is nothing that that site does not sell

My local fish store has a real old clay pipe that they use in the tank. The guy said that he found it in a field when I asked where he got it. I have no idea what it would of been used for back in the day. It looks really nice because it looks more natural and it had a bend in it and had the whole facing the front, best of all it sinks. Good luck to ya man.
