Broken link Honda. Edit* Nevermind ;D
Chon imports alot of fish to the east coast Philly/NJ area. They have always gotten what they payed for there, But I guess there is a risk when going through Chon. Ive seen alot of people get their dream fish through Chon for a low price, So he is still reputable in my books.

Mick and Rainny are your best bet for quality though. Those pictures of Micks fish have been saturated to death so dont expect the fish to be that colorful.

i agree, i've seen some awesome fish from chon, so i guess its luck of the draw.
ya i forgot to say that, a lot of sellers that enhance their photos, i would have to say though, that rainnybetta doesn't really do that.

A masterpiece is in the eye of the beholder. The classification is too broad to say this is what a MP should be. IMO, A masterpiece is a very unique fish, of excellent quality, A fish worthy of winning competitions. "Masterpiece" is more of a marketing gimmick anyways. A true masterpiece shouldnt really be under 1k.

If your dropping 4-5 hundred definatly go through somebody reputable. IMO hands down Rainnybetta has been supplying some of the best looking monster koks from SE Asia.
I dont see anything too impressive on Aquabid right now though. This faded Kamfa is legit. http://www.aquabid.com/cgi-bin/auction/auction.cgi?fwflowerhorn&1293579907
Some have had problems with Chon but they were always resolved, But he has some great fish occasionally for less $ than Rainnybetta.

Thats a tough one to answer. He is a very high quality fish, But he will only get brighter pink as far as I can see. I couldnt tell you what diet the fish is on, But there are things you can do to bring about more reds.
I really like that first fish overall. Perfect body shape.

What are you looking for in a fish? Mainly color? If you want the brightest red FH in existence you want a Red tex. Alot of times they will lack head, But the bright reds make up for it. Or if you want more kok with the red coloration you could find a red monkey/ red shock/ purple rose queen. Rainny can get anything you could want really.

I expect that fish to turn light tint pink and that's about it. If you want a red fish, Red Tex may be ideal(the real super red tex will break you an arm and leg - seriously). But a Super Red ZZ or a Red Kamalau will be darker in red color than most red tex out there. Most of the red tex out there is either bright pink or bright orange only. I prefer a flowerhorn that is hot pink in color IMO. I really dig hot pink color flowerhorn. :D
