Need advice about Thorichthys Meeki fry..

They're swimming, and trying to take off on their own but mom just won't have it.

They are just starting to free swim. Mom is just doing her job once they all take off they will over whelm her

That is what I figured, I can't wait to see them swimming all over the place. I'll wait another day and then drop in some Hikari First Bites.

By later tonight or early tomorrow they will be a swarm. If they aren't divided from the rest already I would do it now. Any fish straying remotely near the fry are going to get beat up.

I'm not worried about the Algae Eaters they keep their distance already, the Clown Loaches do the same. The male keeps them in line and across the tank.

I would be careful with the loaches they might pick off fry in the night time

Too much work, I have my local fish store literally down the street. Been there, got one and installed it.
