Hey all, I am a neuroscience icu nurse night shift. My patients, coworkers and I have all suffered from insomnia. What has worked for all of us: Excersize alot. run hard lift. stop taking uppers(coffee, cola, speed), eat at regular times, not too late, develope a more regular shedule. have you guys tried all that?

Haha, it's working great for you! It's almost 1:30 where you live! LOL

bay area cali, I'm on night shift 100% of the time even when I don't work. I get 6hrs of sleep everyday. Don't be a hater man, I'm a healthcare provider, it works

He's just Joking around Rambo ;p

Yeah, im looking for a punching bag, another thing i've always enjoyed is kick boxing, figured I could get into that and wear myself out and build a new skill at the same time.

PB, i don't have a video camera but I do teach bass. My friend really likes the way I sound and I always give him free lessons.

What I can tell you is you want to slap near the last fret, towards the end of the fretboard, right on the edge. You get a very clean sound when you slap there, since its so close to the fret.

Also there are many ways to physically slap on bass... id suggest a straight thumb (not angled at all) Second, use the "Knuckle" on the thumb (The part that bends, not connected to the actual hand, between the tip and the base) and after some time your hand will slip into place and it will be more comfortable.

It took practice, but after some time I got pretty good at it, and I have a very good and sought after tone when slapping a lot of people don't have.

no offense ewurm, I know you just playing, but you guys should really try it. insomnia is no joke, it will eventually mess you up. if it doesnt work I would see a doc.

(learned this from getting dumped from a BIG relationship) Crying yourself to sleep works too... Seriously, no joke!

Complicated... we were holding hand :D

Jk, we did though, A little more rakie, and more than a pash.

It takes me a fair bit to cry (not trying to sound tough, even though i am :D:D:D)

Nah, I was exaggerating, not big, but still, enough to make me cry.
