Yeah that's why I kind of wrote them off as husbandry issues... the posts basically contained zero real information just "I put RidX in my tank and now a week later everything is dead". Could have been trolling (Or using the scented liquid instead of the solid stuff), who knows- seems like the prevailing theme is that it's quite beneficial.

I was planning on putting into into a fine mesh bag in the sump rather than into the display directly. Is it better to just put it in the display though?

Oh it doesnt matter if you put it in the sump or the display. Its easier for me to put it in the display. On wc day is when i dose Squeeze the heck out of it make the water nice and cloudy. Then through the day when wver your near the tank give it a few aqueezes that night or the next morning remove it.

I'll watch the video and place it in a mesh bag, then into my FX5 basket. My water is always pristine, but this will prolong it with benefits.

No prob van. I wouldnt put it in the fx. Only because you'd hve to open it up to add it then open it to removed it. Just put it in the main tank on water change days. Then remove it that night or the next morning.

Guys in RD's thread it was mentioned to give your pads a good cleaning before dosing. I dont remember the exact reason may have been to clean them out real good before dosing becausr the ridx will break down all the gunk in the tubes/plumbing and wvery where else and it may clog your mech media at first.

So back to original topic, how is the lap doing? A bit of time away from an aggressive cichlid, clean water and good food.... should be looking better

His doing good now, the redness is gone and he swims more in the tank. But my volta is being territorial, lolz

The first time i put him in the tank, my cb endli was trying to bite his fins, i guess cause it have some blood on the fins and thought it was food.
