Need help in ID-ing 20" catfish

one of my friends gave him to me cause he couldn't take care of him. He said it is about a year old and has had it since it was 3". He called it a wild catfish.

RTCxTSN Hybrid?

i said the same thing to him, but he made a point of the tail not being red, but somewhat orang/goldish.

Is it really wild? The tail looks red enough to be called a RTCxTSN IMO..

i'm dont know and I dont think he knew either. I was hoping you guys could help me out.

it is a hybrid. nice pick up should be at the 2' mark in about 2-3 months. good luck.

I'd lose the sharp edges in the tank cause of his whiskers.

the only vase that is in there is the big brown one. that one has no sharp edges.
