i said the same thing to him, but he made a point of the tail not being red, but somewhat orang/goldish.

It's definitely a RTCxTSN. Even on RTCs, the tail may not really be red, but can also range from pink to orange and I've even heard yellow.

are you serious on the 4 feet? i might have to get rid of him since he will outgrow the 206g

thanks, I appreciate the ID confirmation.

it is more orange than an orange. thats for sure.

yes i am serious. he was probably happy he found someone to take it. might want to list it on craigslist if you are not going to keep it.

yea, it was in his 125g. he didnt have time for it anymore. I believe it was in his outdoor pond at one point.

i asked cause i think he was probably pulling your chain about not knowing the real name of it but maybe not. alot of people have a hard time getting rid of fish they foolishly bought in the first place, so they pawn them off on unknown beginner hobbyiest. maybe he just didn't know anything about the thing when he bought it and had it for a year. or didnt mention any of it knowing you wouldnt take it. eitherway it was out of his hands.

RTCxTSN hybrid, will grow larger than a RTC or TSN due to hybrid vigor. Estimate around 6 feet for growth.
