Need help RTC's ick??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i think he means for the entire tank..

What is the PH, considering the cloudy eyes??

I meant for whole tank. 2 tablespoons treats 10 gallons of water. Then tomorrow add 1 more. Make sure it's diluted before putting it in the tank. Don't just dump it in. And yes, what's PH like Miguel said?

Just checked the ph. Its between the 8-8.5

so i put 2 table spoons of salt in the tank now? Tank is 20gallons. And another one tomorrow?

considering i also bought the waterlife protozin whats the best to do? Salt or just take the medicine cure to be sure? Also can the medicine cure be done in this temp or is it too stressfull?

or do i just do nothing yet?

man these rtc's cause too much headache since you get attached to them so fast. I was handfeeding this guy a piece of shrimp the second day i got him.

thanks guys

Also the fact that yesterday he was hiding above the filter or hovering above the air stone while today he is just lying inactive inside the pvc pipe is to be taken as improvement or that things go to the bad?

You sure your ammonia is not high? Cloudy eyes are a sign of low ph, or high ammonia.

You sure your test kits are okay?

We are doing our best to help you, and what has been said ahould cover the problem, but it may hpwn that your fish is too weak. Never buy fish from a visibly infected tank again, please.

You have added the salt.

Check your readings again. If it shows ammonia or nitrites, do a water change ( at the same temperature ) and repeat the salt.

Oxygenate the water!

I have added the salt
2 tablespoons for the whole of the tank as adviced. He seems a little frustrated by it i think

my water parameters are ok. My tests run out 3 days ago and i bought new ones. Readings are fine.

im i supposed to add more salt tomorrow?

Tank is 20gallon, i will make a water change in the morning of about 3-4 gallons
