Not in my experience, but I guess every fish is different. Mine has killed everything I put in the tank with him except for one of the feeder goldfish I gave him (now I know they are bad, but at the time I was unaware), he killed everything else.Oscars are only nasty to same spicie or similar body shape fish.
Yeah I know. Seen a lot of videos around but all of them were quite big. Another fish ticked out from the listFlagtails are great tank mates for Aros (as long as they're at least equal size or bigger), and they grow very fast, plus will help keep your tank clean. I had a 6" bichir in my 375 with a new 10" Xback Arowana, but the bichir was giving a hard time to the Aro so I took the bichir back to the shop, cool as he was (as much as anything I was concerned that bichirs have such bad eyesight there's the potential for them to chomp just about anything that gets in front of their face, so it just wasn't worth the risk, esp. at those smaller sizes). At just 3" your Aro would need a very very small bichir to be safe imho). When they're all larger I don't think it's an issue and more than a few people do successfully keep them together as such.
Used to be a cichlid tank for 8 years and one day just decided to sell them all to someone. Want to turn it into a monster fish tank now. What is the future tank size? Do you have it already? I wouldn't go too crazy with only a 5 foot tank.
Sounds pretty neat. Never seen them around thoughThere are some cool different silver dollars that I recommend my favorite is the tiger striped sd they also look very nice when they school.
You can tell certain fish stores to order them they are very nice.Sounds pretty neat. Never seen them around though
