so i just recently got an offer to trade my 125 for a 330g and the big problem is that i do not know how to set up a sump filter and how it functions. can someone explain how much it will cost me to buy a return pump or whatever pumps i need to set this up.
the dude has all the plumbing and bioballs but he says i need a pump idk really how much that will cost and how it functions.
any help is apriciated here is the sump and the tankCapture.PNGCargsdfpture.PNG

Did he show you how to set that sump up? looks complicated and incomplete but anyway

Water goes through the teeth in the overflow and gravity carries it down into the wet/dry or sump where the water is filtered. your pump magically lifts that filtered water into your display magically tank.

That being said i have no idea the flow capabilities of the plumbing or sump so i can't reccomend a pump. i look for about 10x flow depending on the fish i keep

But what i mean is that's not a name brand sump. like a megaflow model 2 sump is good for 550gph. more than that and water everywhere. if that sump was designed as a refugium it probably flowed a lot less than you would want for a wet/dry

I don't know it isn't infant of me i just can't tell what exactly Im looking at
