need help with sump tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
its a 330g fish tank with central overflow
and has all the plumbing included except the pump whick i am personally buying
and the sump is 60g and is dimensions are 24X30 didnt measure the height
and the outlet for the sump is external so i need a external pump

Look into the reeflo line, i loved my hammered gold but way overkill for that. you know what size pump you need... So what's the hold sounds like you are about ready to go.

Maybe you can ask the person you traded it with on how they had the sump setup or if they have pics of how it was setup. I can't really tell from your pic but it looks like it has 6 separate chambers and looks really confusing on how the water would flow through it.

My biggest issue was without knowing what it flowed... I mean if he had it plumbed with 1/2" or whatnot because setting up a sump from scratch can be tough if you don't have a baseline to go for. good news you can't really put to little flow through a sump. (meaning less flow is just less flow. too much and you have to see where water is slowing down the most)

i was looking at these pumps

OK lets start first with the holes drilled in the tank what size are they? One drain and one in flow? Never mind, start off with telling me the size of the holes drilled into the tank.
