need help with sump tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
also what are the dimensions of the sump just the normal length , width front to back, height

You can always make anything work just depends on how much you might have to put into it. The sump should be about 55 gallons ish. You can plumb whatever once you get it. Good questions would be does the tank have crazing? Cracks? Leaks? also ask what size the holes in the overflow are, sump looks alright, with a little work you can almost make anything work fine, Also is this going to be salt water or Freshwater>?

Sorry missed that part :-) Great good size, I would plan to run two filter socks in one part of the sump, then let the water flow through the sump areas and back to a return pump, probably around 2000gph would be good. Is the sump drilled? This would help in knowing if you need a submersible pump or not, Look up the Laguna pumps. They will be a good option for you.

already posted earlier but its 30x24 inches and its 60 gallons

Did u not see temporary use? look into a good pump it will more than pay for itself. id highly ccomend the reeflos

The one u posted is 373 watts for a couple thousand gph. reeflo hammerhead gold is like 272w and 5550gph.

holy overkill!! ...... no way in i dont even know....... not buying a $500 pump i need something that gets the job done and is cheap
