Prime is a temporary fix, tank needs to be cycled.(use prime now so your fish don't die from ammonia, but when you set other tank up, cycle it properly don't just add prime)

Ok I also didnt mention that Im on a well not town water. And as wierd as this is, I don't know of any other person with a tank! Im the only person in my group of friends that have fish. I have added a bag of squeezed out sponge water from a guy that I met with in the city. That seemed to help for a couple days. My biggest problem is there is no fish store within 3 hrs of me. I would go there right now and get some help from them but its sooo far away. I stopped feeding the fish yesterday. How long can they go without eating?

unfortunately the water from the tank doesnt help the cycle much, BB attaches to surfaces, doesnt stay in the water column. Just do what others have said and you should be ok.
Im going to do a water change right now again. Should I try taking some sponges and soaking them in a container for a couple days then add them to the filter?? Sorry for the newbie questions but what Ive learned around here is false so I feel like I have to start over again. Again guys thanks alot for the help. I get worried and all I think about is these fish and how I can make it right.

You could do that with the sponges, but bacteria needs oxygen to live and multiply, so add airstones.

Right. But the water changes with prime will still allow your tank to "cycle." It's just like doing a standard fish cycle.
the thing is though can I use prime while fish are in the tank and will the tank ever cycle? Or do I need to get another tank cycled before I can get the 90 working?

Yes, you can use prime with the fish in the tank. It's going to neutralize the ammonia so it won't hurt them.
And yes, it will cycle you just need to give it time, and make sure you do water changes, and have adequate filtration on the tank.
