NEED HELP!!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I would swithch everything over and top with new water.

What is your ph and temps?

Too high a PH for that level of ammonia.

I suggest you change the whole thing over to the bigger tank, once it has matched temps. Fill it to half and heat it. Tomorrow you would do the transfer of everything that is in the 90.

You are doing the best you can, alone in the desert that you are, so hats off to you, in any case.

what do you mean to high ph? Sorry again for the stupid questions but Im trying to get the garbage that I have already learned out of my head and put the new good info in!! I dont have the stand for the new tank yet so I dont really want to fill it yet before setting it on the stand because Ill never beable to get it on the stand!!

i would avoid using the water, as previously stated most of the beneficial bacteria is on surfaces rather than free floating. All you will do by transferring the water is take the ammonia with you, although this may help slightly with the cycle. Have you checked the use by date on the ammonia test and followed the instructions exactly?

as the water ph rises, ammonia becomes more toxic. At lower a ph ammonia exists as ammonium which is still far from ideal.

thanks for the info. I dont feel like I deserve a props. Just want to keep my fish healthy and I don't feel like I learned enough before I got the fish so now Im trying to right my wrong. But thank you for the support. Its been a very frustrating last couple weeks but I just keep saying to myself that it will be better in the long run.
