need ideas for large sa cichlids

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
that's a lot of fish... even for a 900 gallon IMO
get rid of the following: shovelnose cat, pbass, dorado, oscars, niger cat, festaes and payara

i think payara are supposed to be aggressive? i don't know...
this is what i would get, which i think will look a lot nicer and is probably a better mix:

rotkiel severums x 2
true parrots x 2
red hooks x 8
threadfin geos x 2
bushynose plecos x 6-8
uaru x 4
geophagus altifrons x 4

those are fish that i have always wanted so i think im gonna keep them

Don't get the Dovii
as they can be pretty unpredictable

its just that im confused, you guys say something bad is gonna happen but you dont tell what

Doesn't he wan't CA/SA cichlids he made a post that said that or does he wan't just SA cichlids now i'm a little confused

Payaras can be a little aggressive but in larger tanks with tuff cichlids you won't have much of a problem i've allways heard of armatus being the aggressive payara

what kinda jaguar catfish do you mean liosomadoras oncinus if so they hide all the time and would need to be adults for it to have any hope of working if you mean leiarius longibarbis i'd go with one i've heard they can be pretty aggressive twords each other i could be wrong about that but i've never seen two adults kept together plus there a pretty good sized cat

the sig looks alot better but i'd still watch those festaes if they form a pair they really need to have there own tank atleast your other fish will think that a pair of green terrors would be better not saying that its impossible to have pairs in the tank but red terrors are rated in the top 10 most aggressive cichlids for a reason some of those fish are pretty $$$ and i'd feel bad if you made a post about murdering red terrors
