its just that im confused, you guys say something bad is gonna happen but you dont tell what

think about it... tank with tons of big fish, some very aggressive, all producing copious amounts of waste. that to me creates a scenario of possible large amounts of stress from aggression, overcrowding, possible predation, possible poor water conditions if you aren't careful. there may be headaches to keep water quality top notch and aggression down, large bills stemming from water changes, electricity bills, food bills.

a big tank doesn't and shouldn't mean you need to fill it to the brim with fish. it means you have a darn good opportunity to create an awesome environment for a select few fish that will reward you with vibrant colors and awesome behavior.

many of those fish grow well over one foot long, many reaching two feet easily. it doesn't matter if you have a 900 gallon tank - they will get big, and they will get overcrowded.

if that isn't something bad waiting to happen, i don't know what is...

I would ditch the plecos. All they do is make poop. With the Oscars, I would get different ones, not just the WC. A zebra, tiger, and albino tiger.

The Parrot fish are pretty cool. I bought 2 from Rapps a couple months ago, they came with tattered fins but are looking awesome now and have begun to own my JDs.

I would also change from Mono PBass to Orino PBass. Maybe even Intermedia if you can find them at a good price.

what you wrote is damn important.
It's a rule that very often is forgotten.

thanks to this reminder.
;)

its hard to belive that the tank will be over stocked but i will keep that in mind

To be honest I think that you think that 900 gallons is a lot more than it really is. Ewok has given you some sound advice and I would personally go with his stocking list too, but hell, you could fit more Geo's and Severum in there than what he's told you :D

900 gallons is a big tank but it's not so big that you can just fit whatever you want in it. Personally I'd be keeping a huge community of different Eartheaters, mixed with some small Plecostomus and Uaru/Severums/Parrots.

yep Japes.
I'm always agreeding with you!

(if the meaning of parrots are Hoplarchus Psittacus and not the hybrid one)

are Hoplarchus easy to find there??
here are some of the rarest ant their price are really high

In Australia? Certainly not, I have never seen them. I understand they're hard to even find in the US. We get the false CA parrots (aka "Macaw Cichlid" I think) over here, Hypsophrys nicaraguensis. Nice fish, I'd consider keeping them in a CA community, but they aren't as nice as the true Parrots.
