need suggestions with the 285 gal stocking.. thanks!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I would get rid of the gar, you'll end up riding a fish you love and watch it get killed. what about

clown knifefish
bichir
marble goby would be cool
?maybe a ray? I dont know if the tank is big enough/compatable
fire eel
shovel nose catfish
another arowana maybe a Jardini \

again this Is just what I wish I could have in a tank. I've never kept rays but I've heard they can be fish killers so Im not sure.

That's just what he would do, if you don't want the gar get rid of it. An RTC is a really bad idea. I wouldn't impulse buy a ray either unless you already have some experience. Vieja are really cool fish

Get some datnoids and maybe a smaller type of Ray
yeah datnoids look bad ass... will the oscars tolerate him? because his body shape looks like a cichlid tho.. is it a territorial fish or a school fish?

what kind of ray can suit my tank for life?
thanks!!

with fire eel i would need to put a bunch of decors for his hiding place, correct?

Smaller types of rays include, hystrix rays, orbs and retics. I wouldn't recommend retics as they are very sensitive

what semi aggresive fish that grow fast to catch up with my oscars and aro..? coz mainly they sell baby fish in LFS

not necessarily they like a log and they prefer sand to gravel but when they're big they tend to roam the tank more

if they only sell baby fish try looking online unless shipping is a problem! wet spot tropical fish has reasonable shipping and awesome fish
