Im surprised you lost the other one after this much time if it was from lack oxygen after the problem had been fixed

That's why I asked if prolonged lack of oxygen causes permanent damage..

AHA! I think I see the problem. if you live in a tropical region and with a heater your basically roasting your fish. depending on temps, I might even look into chillers
Well Yup but average room temperature here now is around 80°F. Which should be ideal for piranhas... So you saying lack of oxygen due to heat in the water was the killer?
