Need Urgent Help! Piranhas upside down!

It's a very weird scenario. I never saw a fish with that kind of symptom due to the lack of oxygen. I wouldn't discard some other causes. Something related to the swim bladder or neurological causes will be a good guess in my opinion.

What possible Neurological cause? I guess someone with the know how could have told the exact cause after a postmortem. This part of the death of my fish troubles me the most ... Cant pin point the exact cause. All possibilities are logically arrived at not scientifically.

Only new thing I did was humpy head. Maybe some additive in humpy head could have triggered something.. But I do remember they once had ate a pellet or two which I had stuffed in their food before

The problem I have with swim bladder theory is it affecting multiple fish at the same time. I'd expect an isolated incident.

Exactly and it happened during a large wc and very high temps and low o2. Its obvious but there is a chance it could have been other issues and that just pushed them over the edge?

I wouldn't feed humpy head to a homeless mouse....

On another note I have heard that humpy head can cause bloat.... so it seems likely temp, crap food and low o2 may have played a role.

Never feed gimicky food like that.

I have no idea but I know its bad....

Why would you feed a flowerhorn gimmicky food to a P anyway? They don't have Koks.

Assuming op was wanting variety in the diet but you have to be careful not to use cheap food. Read the label
