yeah ive noticed the blue one is the only one thats ever really pushy. think i could keep him alone in the tub with a filter and airstone if he doesnt work out in the 55? problem solved if that would work, i think

thanks for the offer man but ive got 2 extra 10s and youre 5 hours from me lol. livingston is 50 miles north of houston

I just moved here from Katy (West Houston) last year, never heard of Livingston. Hope it all works out for you. I just got done moving tanks around in my house on Monday (all eight). That was a chore so I don't envy you right now!

Good plan. Personally, I'd put the dragon gobies, ropefish, both of which like salt and are slower feeders, in the 30. I'd take a chance and put the IDs in the 55. Everything else should be okay with the types/sizes of cichlids you've got, just keep an eye on the blue fella.

yeah my 200 and 20 are the only ones im proud of atm... lol

The only problem with that is you've got a lot of very speedy, aggressive feeders. Imagine trying to get bloodworms to the rope with those fish...It's better off with the dragon gobies. Ropefish tolerate light brackish too.

those cichlids are pretty aggresive feeders, I would worry a little that the rope wouldn't get a chance to eat, but with all the hiding places and their size, it could work.

You beat me to it Simon!!!

i normally feed them late at night with sinking foods when its pitch dark in the tank. you can take a cell phone light and see them eating that way. some for the knife and gobies normally

thats also how i feed my catfish and CK in the 200. some days i give them dry sinking foods, but sometimes they get raw fish and shrimp. the ropes love this and so do the knives

Charles, I was gonna suggest that. If it works, go for it.
