Netting Big Fish

Hey guys I would like to hear your techniques for netting/catching the big fish, 16in+ arowanas/catfish/bichers/gars/etc.

a wet t-shirt, small thin bed sheet, etc just make sure it hasnt been washed with detergent. i would soak it in tank water in a rubbermaid tub for a couple days to be safe. and prepare to get wet.

use an actual fishing net...like a trout net. it will works. I used my trout net to catch my big umbee

Don't nets jack up your fish? Rip fins, dropped scales, missing barbels? I was thinking a pillow case but that'd be the same as a big net.

I usually use big plastic fish bags to move my fish and stuff.

I use an Enviro-net, just saw it when I got my bass Enviro net and thought a smaller model would be grouse for my larger fish.

havnt really though of how to net my oscars if they get well past a foot......... may have to try the pillow case idea once i move!
