Arizona Aquatic Gardens has bad reviews all over the web.
I would never order fish from them simply because they cannot give you a shipping cost until they ship your order. So, you will have two charges from them: one for the cost of the fish and another for shipping cost. If you had them send you new fish to replace the DOA's then you WILL get charged another shipping cost (it is on their website.)
It is posted all over their website that they do not control shipping costs, that they are not responsible for shipping costs, talk to FedEx if you have a problem with the shipping costs, etc, etc...
They also do not refund for DOA's. You either pay to have more fish sent to you or you get a credit for a future order. On the website it is posted that they WILL NOT talk to customers on certain days of the week and that they simply will not deal with you if you rasie a stink about their business (aka, ask too many questions.)
I for one find it hard to believe that a company as large and as busy as AZG's says they are cannot negotiate lower shipping costs from FedEx or that they cannot charge an average flat rate overnight shipping cost.
Getting a lawyer will just be a waste of time. All of their policies are stated on their website, including the way they bill separatly for shipping and fish/merchandise.
Sorry you got caught up with this horrible company, but really nothing can be done.
