If you're referring to the first pic in my most recent post that is a red tail tiger shovelnose hybrid, the 2nd pic is the piraiba (brachyplatystoma filamentosum)

Any current pics of your new pond??? Is it completed yet?

Hi amazonfishman
Am posting all the way from Manila, Philippines. I am in the process of setting up my own indoor 10’ Intex Pool. Here are the fish I wish to house:
a. 1.5’ Clown Knife Fish
b. 2 pcs. 1’ Ordinary Pleco
c. 3 pcs 10” Red Belly Pacus
d. Looking to add the ff: Red Tail Catfish, will look for one that’s about 1’, they were selling a 3’ for about $168 at the LFS. I also saw a 2’ Paroon/Hammerhead shark that I am considering to purchase, they were selling it for $50. Will also be looking at getting some Motoro’s also.
Am thinking of doing the ff:
a. Adding some floor tiles to reinforce the bottom and enhance the visibility and aesthetics of the pool, might help with the longevity of it also, not sure.
b. Will use the filter pump that comes with it (550GPH) and course the water through a DIY multi drawer cabinet mechinal/bio sump filter. Will this suffice, or do I need to get additional filtration/aeration?
c. What else do I need to look at?
My question to you is:
a. What made you decide to take down the pond/pool? I have read through all the posts in this thread and am not sure if I missed you explaining it. I am thinking of using this pond as pretty much a long term solution for the fish, will this hold up? If it breaks down, I can possibly just buy another pool =)
b. Can you please share some more detailed lessons learned to guide me as I start to tread the path where you have come from.

ooops, reposting in a better/more readable format...

I have the same pool, getting it ready, also getting ready to start a build thread. What happened to your pool that you had to take it down? Please elaborate on what went wrong, so we dont have to make the same mistakes.

Thanks

Bump- awesome post, you have me thinking about where i could put one...
